Course Overview

The Utilities and Offsites seminar is an excellent opportunity for operations personnel, mechanical and civil engineers, process engineers, regulators, and owners to acquire detailed technical knowledge of this critical part of any refinery or chemical plant. Utilities and offsites occupy 95% of the plot area of a plant and represent 50% of the cost.
Attendees of any experience level will benefit from this course. The objective of the course is to give a basic understanding of the entire range of utilities and offsite facilities in a refinery. The more important aspects of utilities and offsites are discussed in detail as well as a number of design and calculation methods. The attendee will obtain a good amount of theory and be able to perform scoping quality designs.
